| You're a student and $15K for a 14 year old car will seem ridiculous to them, regardless. Like it or not, there will be maintenance items that will need tending to. Couple in insurance and these are not cheap cars to keep in Canada. Don't buy a reconstructed Florida car (or any salvage title). It will end up being a train wreck, your folks will do the "I told you so" and in the end you'll likely wind up being forced to part with it anyway. The best advice I can offer is to hold off, finish school, get a job and *then* buy your dream car. Does it suck to wait? Sure, but you'll appreciate it so much more when you're in a better financial situation. Good luck. -jb
